The Best Pie Crust

I've Ever Found!!


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2/3 cup shortening

  • 5 tablespoon water

Instructions:

  • Measure out flour, salt.

  • With a pastry blender, cut of the shortening into the flour until the mixture resembles cornmeal.

  • Cut the remaining half coarsely into the dough until it is pea size.

  • Sprinkle the dough with the water.

  • Blend the water lightly into the dough.

  • note: You may lift the ingredients with a fork, allowing the moisture to spread. If needed add *just enough water to hold ingredients together.

  • When you can gather the dough up into a ball, stop handling it.

  • Roll out and place in the pie pans.

  • Prick bottom of the pie shell with a fork if you are making a one-crust pie. If you're making a top crust, roll out and cut desired design and place on top on filled crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
