I went out this morning and found this note on the cupboard. When I read it I knew that something that we're teaching is getting through, even to a teenager.

This was written by our thirteen year old, who has a paper route, written to his 15 and 17 year old sister and brother. It seems that when he's finished with his paper route, instead of hurrying back to bed, he's taken the time to make hot cereal and a sandwich for his brother and sister, who leave earlier than anyone else. This isn't something that they had commanded him to do or even really asked him to do. This is out of the goodness of his heart. What a great way to start the Christmas season and a new year.
I'm proud of you Jeff, and hope you continue along this path of caring for others, beginning with your family.
