Dying eggs at Easter time is a big tradition with a lot of people. It's fun to try something a little different, at times though. Here are some ideas that might be just the thing for your family to try.

Striped and Checked eggs

What you'll Need:

  • Hard-boiled white eggs

  • Rubber bands or masking tape

  • Easter egg dye

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the rubber bands or masking tape securely on the egg where you want stripes or checks.

  2. Dip the egg into dye and let sit for a few minutes. Set aside dn let it dry.

  3. Remove rubber bands or tape.

Marbled Eggs

What you'll Need:

  • Hard-boiled white eggs

  • 6" square piece of thin cloth for each egg

  • Eyedropper

  • Easter egg dye

Instructions:

  1. Wrap egg in cloth and tie rubber bands tightly around each end.

  2. Drop spots of one color of dye at a time onto cloth-wrapped egg. Rinse out eyedropper before changing colors. Repeat the process with the next color, and so on. Use 2,3 or more colors, as desired.
