MoM's Best Cranberry Salad


Ingredients:
  • 1 pound cranberries
  • 1 orange
  • 2 large apples
  • 1 c. sugar or fructose
  • 2 packages cherry jell-o dissolved in 1 c. Hot water

    NOTE: it helps to cut the apple into smaller pieces before trying to grind. Pulse the blender on and off until the fruit is ground into very small pieces.

Instructions:
  • Grind cranberries, orange, and apple together
  • Grate about half of the outside of the orange peel;
  • Add sugar or fructose to the mixture in a bowl.
  • Let stand for about 30 minutes.
  • Optional: add 1/2 c. orange juice (diluted) to dissolved jell-o
  • Add cranberry mix to the jell-o and refrigerate overnight
